Who we are
"The Scituate South Shore Peer Recovery story"
Our story...
South Shore Peer Recovery Scituate (SSPR) is the founding organization and original peer recovery center serving the South Shore community. Established in 2015 by a passionate group of individuals in recovery and their allies, SSPR has grown into a thriving nonprofit, providing critical peer support, education, and advocacy. Our sister site, Wey of Life, is a proud extension of this mission, expanding access to peer recovery services and continuing the commitment to building a strong, supportive recovery community. Together, we stand as a testament to the power of peer support in transforming lives.
What
is...

SSPR Scituate is a nonprofit peer recovery center dedicated to providing hope, connection, and support to individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder. As a truly grassroots program, our funding relies on the generosity of our community, small grant awards, and our annual Recovery Rocks fundraiser. We follow the peer participatory model, ensuring that those with lived experience guide and shape our programs. Through peer-led groups, recovery coaching, and a welcoming community space, SSPR Scituate empowers individuals on their recovery journey.
